How to change formatting in Telegram

Telegram allows you to play with text in three ways: using the context menu, hotkey combinations, and special characters.
Method 1. Context menu
This method works both from mobile devices and from the desktop. To change the text style, you need to select it - right-click (if from the desktop) - select the formatting option in the menu that appears - select the desired font type. You can also add a hyperlink through the context menu.
Method 2. Special characters
Telegram also allows you to modify text by wrapping it in special characters when typing. However, this option is only available for three styles: bold, monospace, and italic.
for bold, highlight the text fragment on the left and right with two asterisks: **text** → text;
To make the text italic, you need to put two underscores on the right and left: __text__ → text ;
For monospaced text, wrap the fragment in triple apostrophes “`text“`→ text.
Method 3. Hot keys
If you use Telegram from a computer, the most convenient way to change the font is with hot keys. This allows you to play with text faster than through the context menu, and gives a wider range of options than using special characters. A week with a cheat sheet and you will format text from memory, like a telegram magician.
